The Columbus Blue Jackets hung tough with the high-powered Predators but would drop the game in overtime. The Jackets now have a record of 9-36-1-7 playing in Nashville.

The Blue Jackets lost at Bridgestone Arena again. Words can't describe the torture that Nashville has inflicted on Columbus since the year 2000.

Kirill Marchenko(4), Zach Aston-Reese(2), and Zach Werenski(4) provided the offense for the CBJ, while Daniil Tarasov made some dazzling saves in the 4-3 OT loss Saturday night on Broadway.

The Jackets looked like they would wear Nashville down and escape Bridgestone by stealing two points. That was until the two teams decided to score three goals between the two of them in the first 4:09 of the third period to make it a 3-3 game. Both teams were sloppy.

Columbus would build, and then lose two separate two-goal leads in this game before finally letting it slip away in overtime.

While in OT, Damon Severson would fall in the corner and allow Jonathan Marchessault to skate in uncontested and rifle a shot past Tarasov. That's too easy of a shot for the veteran Marchessault.

That was one of the most competitive games the Jackets have played in Nashville in recent memory, as most of them are blowouts in favor of the Preds. But for the many CBJ fans who made the trek to Tennessee for this game, they were pleasantly surprised that the Jackets had a chance to win, and for just a few minutes, had hope that they would pull this one out.

The Columbus Blue Jackets are now 9-36-1-7 against the Predators in Nashville.

The Jackets are now 3-3-1 - 7 Points.
