Cleveland Beats Belleville In Double OT To Take A 2-1 Series Lead

Mikael Pyyhtia, David Jiricek, and Owen Sillinger scored for the Monsters, and Jet Greaves made 39 saves as the Monsters beat the Belleville Senators 3-2 on Wednesday night.

Jet Greaves was the story of the night for the Monsters, at times single-handedly keeping Cleveland in the game. Greaves made some huge stops throughout the 84 minutes of gameplay to help the Monsters put Belleville on the brink of elimination.

12,659 people filed into Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse to watch their Monsters play and win their first home playoff game in years. Many of those fans drove up from Columbus to watch the game, and in typical fashion, the game would go into a 5th period. There's no doubt it was a long two-hour drive home for many fans.

These two teams will play game 4 on Friday night in Cleveland, with the Monsters hoping to boot Belleville from the Calder Cup Playoffs.
