
Columbus Announces They Will Take Part In The Prospects Challenge in Buffalo
Columbus announced today that they will participate in the Prospects Challenge in Buffalo, New York in September.
The Challenge will run from September 13 to the 16th, and take place at LECOM Harborcenter. Per a press release, "Practice sessions and tournament games will be held at LECOM Harborcenter located at 100 Washington Street, Buffalo, New York, 14203 (Phone – 716/855-4767).
Joining the Jackets will be the Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, New Jersey Devils, Ottawa Senators, and Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Blue Jackets not going to Traverse was a bit of a shock when the rumors first came out earlier this summer. Having gone there 21 times and winning five, it was always a destination for Blue Jackets fans and media to go to.
Going from Nationwide Arena to Traverse City, Michigan is about 428 miles and takes around 7 hours. The drive from NWA to Buffalo is 330 miles and takes just about 5 hours, so much closer.

Friday, Sept. 13
7 p.m. – at Buffalo Sabres
Saturday, Sept. 14
3:30 p.m. – at Boston Bruins
Sunday, Sept. 15
No Game Scheduled
Monday, Sept. 16
1:30 p.m. – vs. Ottawa Senators
A complete Blue Jackets prospects roster will be available prior to the start of the tournament.
