The Columbus Blue Jackets host the Anaheim Ducks tonight at Nationwide Arena, and this will be the last game of the season series between the two teams. Anaheim beat the Jackets back on November 10th at Honda Center.
This game features two teams that are on the struggle bus of late. The Ducks have lost five straight games coming into this one and have scored a total of 7 goals in those five losses. They're giving up four goals per game in those losses as well.
The Jackets, on the other hand, have lost 5 of 6 and have scored 10 goals during that span, so not much better than the Ducks. Columbus is giving up a whopping five goals per game during the last six.
Columbus has lost the last two at home and will be looking to bust out of this slump in a big way before hitting the road again on Sunday. The Ducks don't score many goals but don't give a lot either, so this game could go either way.
The Blue Jackets halted a streak of giving up a power-play goal in 14 straight games by holding Washington scoreless on their man advantages. The CBJ has a current streak of not giving up a PP goal to the Ducks that stretches back to 2016, so they will be looking to carry that on.
The Ducks are currently 8th in the Pacific, 14th in the West, and 30 in the league.
