The Columbus Blue Jackets will play their final game before they get a two-week break for the Four Nations Tournament. They welcome the New York Rangers tonight at Nationwide Arena.
The Rangers lost last night to the Pittsburgh Penguins at Madison Square Garden, and have gone 5-4-1 in the last 10 games. It's always a fun time when the Rangers visit Columbus.
The Jackets are on the struggle bus right now. They've lost three straight and have gone 4-4-2 in the last 10 games. The team has been decimated by injuries losing Kirill Marchenko, Dante Fabbro, and Sean Monahan in recent weeks. Two of those three are in the top three in scoring, and Fabbro is a top-pairing defenseman, so it hasn't been fun lately.
With all that said, they're still lingering around the wild card spots, just one point out of WC2. Every game, every point is extremely important right now.
But now they have a chance to rest, relax, and get healthy during this two-week break. It's time to get healthy.
