Columbus Blue Jackets Prospect Jordan Dumais Suspended 5 Games By Halifax
Jordan Dumais, the young superstar for the Halifax Mooseheads, has been suspended for five games in what the Mooseheads are calling an "off-ice infraction."
Reports started surfacing late yesterday afternoon that Dumais had been suspended. Per the Mooseheads PR, Dumais will miss the rest of the regular season and 1 game of the Mooseheads first-round playoffs.
Per the tweet below, it seems that the rumors of Dumais getting a DUI are confirmed. Unfortunate incident for Dumais.
Dumais has had a bit of a wild ride this season. He was injured while playing for Columbus in the pre-season which caused him to miss some time for Halifax. He then needed a hernia surgery later in the year, and seemed to aggravate a hip injury while playing for Team Canada, now this. In 21 games for Halifax this season he scored 16 goals and had 47 points. Early in the season, Dumais became the all-time leading scorer for the Halifax Mooseheads by passing Brandon Benedict who had 303 points in 343 games. Dumais has 325 points in only 193 games.
Dumais hopes to make a strong push to make Columbus out of camp next season.
