The Columbus Blue Jackets have a very difficult stretch of hockey coming up over the next 24 days. Starting tomorrow against the Washington Capitals till Jan. 4, against the St. Louis Blues. They play 12 games in a 24-day span.

During that time, they have eight home games and four road games.

Home Games:

- Washington at Columbus: Dec. 12 @7:00 p.m.

- Anaheim at Columbus: Dec. 14 @7:00 p.m.

- New Jersey at Columbus: Dec. 19 @7:00 p.m.

- Montreal at Columbus: Dec. 23 @7:00 p.m.

- Boston at Columbus: Dec. 27 @7:00 p.m.

- Carolina at Columbus: Dec. 31 @8:00 p.m.

- Detroit at Columbus: Jan. 2 @7:00 p.m.

- St. Louis at Columbus: Jan. 4 @7:00 p.m.

Road Games:

- Columbus at Carolina: Dec. 15 @5:00 p.m.

- Columbus at Tampa Bay: Dec. 17 @7:00 p.m.

- Columbus at Philadelphia: Dec. 21 @7:00 p.m.

- Columbus at Boston: Dec. 28 @7:00 p.m.

This dreadful stretch can be extended back to Nov. 15 when they started playing almost every other night. However, this 12-game, 24-day span stretched over the Christmas/Holiday roster freeze.

This crazy amount of games in such a short period of time could be a direct result of the 4 Nations Face-Off and the two-week break in February.

The Blue Jackets will be busy and tired over the next 24 days. The only hope is that they win a fair amount of games and that they don't have a ton of injuries that come with playing so much in a small period of time.

What's Next - The Blue Jackets are back home on Thursday to play the Washington Capitals.
