Columbus Gets Buried By The Avalanche In Colorado

The Colorado Avalanche were absolutely unstoppable on Friday night, and a depleted Columbus Blue Jackets team had no shot at stopping them.

Damon Severson scored his 7th goal of the season, and Elvis Merzlikins was shelled all game long in the loss to the Avs. Merzlikins stopped 44 of 50 shots, including 6 of 7 on the power play as the Avs won 6-1.

The Blue Jackets were overpowered all night long. About the only thing they did well was forcing Colorado giveaways, as they would force 9 of them. The Jackets somehow weren't awarded any power plays in the game, which is always strange to see.

Not much to talk about in this one.
