Minnesota came into Columbus and completely stifled the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Wild would go on to win 3-0.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Outlook and Success

It was Kid's Opening Night at Nationwide Arena on Saturday, but if this game was a movie, it would've been rated R.

Yegor Chinakhov(3) scored the only Blue Jackets goal with 1:25 left in the game to ruin Filip Gustavsson's shutout bid. That would be it for the scoring.

The first period of this game was all Minnesota. They outshot the CBJ 14-4 and scored the only goal when Marco Rossi got the puck uncontested and blasted a shot past Daniil Tarasov.

The second period got a little better for the Jackets. They were able to close the shot clock gap but couldn't get on the board. The Wild had a goal reversed due to a successful challenge for goalie interference to keep it 1-0. Columbus also enjoyed three man advantages including a double minor, but couldn't score.

The CBJ would lose this game after Minnesota's top line of Kirill Kaprizov, Marco Rossi, and Mats Zuccarello all scored on Jackets goalie Daniil Tarasov to sweep the season series.

Columbus falls to 2-3 on the season.
