In a game that the Columbus Blue Jackets absolutely had to win, they didn't put up much of a fight in a 4-0 loss to the New York Rangers on Saturday night.

For the second straight game, one of the highest-scoring teams in the NHL was shut out again at home. Not ideal for a team trying to make the playoffs.

There aren't a lot of positives to take from the game last night, and when Zach Aston-Reese leads the team in shots, it probably won't be a great night.

Dean Evason said after the game, "Everybody's talked about it before. Whenever teams are in a bit of a funk, you need something positive to happen. Which we'll work for. We've never not worked."

"It would be a different story if I came in here and said we got outworked tonight and that's why we lost the game. We didn't. We have to continue to work and believe there's enough games left for us to get there."

Adam Fantilli said, "Two games getting shut out, you’re pointing at our top guys first. We have to score. It's a point of emphasis right now. We gotta be better. Nothing else to say."
