The Columbus Blue Jackets walked into Ball Arena and beat the Colorado Avalanche

Zach Werenski(2), Kent Johnson(2), Adam Fantilli(1), Kirill Marchenko(1), Yegor Chinakhov(1), and Sean Monahan(1) all scored for Columbus, while Daniil Tarasov stopped 26 shots in the CBJ win.
The Jackets came out swinging, scoring two goals in the first 8 minutes, but you just knew the powerful Avalanche would come storming back at some point. Columbus held a two-goal lead three different times, and each time Colorado came back to tie it.
It wasn't until Sean Monahan's empty netter with 12 seconds left in the game could fans take a breath. Kirill Marchenko's unselfish play while he and Monahan were streaking toward the empty net led to him getting his first goal as a Blue Jacket. Monahan said after the game, "That's what makes a team a team."
Despite two power-play goals from the Avs, the Jackets were able to go into Ball Arena and take it to the struggling Avalanche.
The first two games of the season have been exciting to watch.
