    Tarasov Is Ready To Go

The Jackets have announced that they have placed Daniil Tarasov on Long-Term Injured Reserve, retroactive to October 12, and loaned him to the Cleveland Monsters for a rehab assignment.

Tarasov has played in 21 career games with the CBJ, posting a record of 4-13-1. He also has a GAA of 3.66 and a save % of .900. He also has a 14-10-3 record, with a 3.36 GAA and .890 SV% in 28 career games with Cleveland.

With this announcement, the Blue Jackets have an interesting decision to make with Spencer Martin. Do they put him on waivers and try to send him to Cleveland, or do they trade him? Would the Blue Jackets think about rolling with three goalies? The three-goalie system seems a bit far-fetched considering he would take up a valuable roster spot for a young forward or defenseman, however. Martin has filled in well for Columbus.

Tarasov's conditioning assignment can be for up to three games or six days in Cleveland.
