Devils Pound Jackets In Tarasovs Return
Jack Hughes punished the Blue Jackets on Saturday night with three goals, and Jesper Bratt chipped in with three assists in a game that the Jackets were never really in.
After the Devils went up 2-0, the Jackets would score just 17 seconds into the second. But just 33 seconds after that, the Devils again pushed it to a two-goal game. Later in the second period, Yegor Chinakhov would again pull it back to a one-goal game, but that would be it. The Devils would pull away with two straight goals to sink any chance the Jackets had to make a comeback. The Jackets would lose to the Devils 6-3.
There weren't a ton of positives to take from this game. They scored a power-play goal, a unit that's running at 29% over the last 10 games. Somehow Adam Fantilli, who started on the top line at center, was demoted to the fourth line at wing. He also only played 15:49.
