The Jackets and Golden Knights played to a 2-1 final, showcasing two of the league's highest-scoring teams.

Adam Fantilli(15) scored the only goal in regulation, and Cole Sillinger(8) scored to win in overtime, sending the CBJ to Utah with two points. The win moves them back into the wild card two spot.

Elvis Merzļikins was spectacular in this game, stopping 25 of 26 Vegas shots. With the one goal given up, Elvis has now allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six starts, winning those five games as well. Merzļikins was able to shut down a high-powered Vegas offense on Thursday night. Vegas ended the game with 38 total scoring chances.

Adam Fantilli continued his hot streak. Since Sean Monahan went down with an injury, Fantilli has 10 points in 10 games, including a hat trick. He played his 100th NHL game last night.

Vegas and Columbus were two of the NHL's highest-scoring 5-on-5 teams entering this game. That trend continued last night, as both teams failed on their power play chances, and scored 5-on-5.

This was a great win for Columbus for a few different reasons. The first being it was a road game, and the second being it was against arguably a top-3 team in the league.
