The Columbus Blue Jackets held their end-of-season exit interviews on Friday with GM Don Waddell, HC Dean Evason, and select players.

Goalie Elvis Merzlikins was one of the first players to speak, and he gave an update on the injury that kept him out of the lineup for the final five games of the season.

Merzlikins confirmed to the media that he suffered a concussion.

Elvis played in the game against the Ottawa Senators on April 8th, making 35 saves and getting the win. But that would be the last game he would play. He took the ice for practice the next day, but would leave early. This opened the door for Jet Greaves to come in and close out the season. Greaves would start, and win all five games, and had a pair of shutouts.

The future of Elvis Merzlikin's tenure in Columbus is very cloudy, but we will keep you updated on his situation.
