Eric Robinson has only played in seven games for the CBJ this season, scoring just one goal. He also spent a few weeks in Cleveland of the AHL.
Robinson will be a UFA at the end of this season, so it makes sense to trade him at this point. His cap hit is $1.6 million, and Buffalo currently has $6.6 million in available cap space, so they could easily take him on.
Friedman usually gets these things right, so a trade could be coming very soon.
