The Columbus Blue Jackets announced that they have traded forward Eric Robinson to the Buffalo Sabres today. The CBJ will get a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2025 NHL Draft from the Buffalo Sabres.
The Jackets have been looking for a #1 center according to reports. Could moving Robinson be a part of a bigger trade coming at some point, or is this just a salary dump? There are also rumors of the CBJ trading Adam Boqvist, which would clear another $2.6 million.
Per Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News: "Robinson is expected to join the Sabres in Boston for Thursday's game against the Bruins. Buffalo's next home game is Saturday night against Montreal."
Jarmo Kekalainen and the front office could get very busy, and very soon. As they should be.
