Last night the Flames and Blue Jackets honoured Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau, they did an amazing job!

For Columbus Blue Jackets and Calgary Flames fans, last night's game was one that was marked on the calendar.

It was the night to honour Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau; the Flames did an amazing job.

It started with a great opening ceremony that led to the puck drop. The puck drop was between Mikael Backlund and Johnny's best friend, Sean Monahan.

The game ended with the Flames beating the Blue Jackets 3-0. On such an emotional night, ending with the Gaudreau family watching a very well-played game.

The Flames win was their 13th of the season, so fitting on the night they honoured Johnny.

To cap off such a special night for both organizations and fans, as well as the family of the Gaudreau brothers. The Flames announced the first star of the game, and it was no one else but Johnny Gaudreau. Guy Gaudreau, the brother's father, went on the ice and waved to the crowd as his son's name was announced.

What a moment, what a night!

What's Next - The Blue Jackets will travel to Edmonton to face the Oilers on Thursday.
