According to multiple reports, the Seattle Kraken have traded former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Olivier Bjorkstrand along with Yanni Gourde to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The Columbus Blue Jackets sit in the first wild card spot with two days to go until the 2025 trade deadline. Their GM, Don Waddell, has spoken openly about their plan to reward the team by adding at the deadline.

Tampa Bay Lightning: Yanni Gourde, Olivier Bjorkstrand & 2026 5th Round Pick

Seattle Kraken: Michael Eyssimont, First Round Pick in 2026, First Round Pick in 2027 and a 2025-Second Round Pick (TOR)

There was some thought of a potential reunion between the Blue Jackets and Bjorkstrand. However, now that it is off the table, GM Don Waddell will need to look elsewhere.
