This former Blue Jackets forward is making a difference with the Rangers.

The New York Rangers defeated the New York Islanders by a 5-2 final score on Tuesday night.

Former Columbus Blue Jackets forward Oliver Bjorkstrand played a big role in the Rangers' victory, as he put together an excellent game for the Original Six club.

Bjorkstrand scored his first two goals as a member of the Rangers in the contest, with his second being the game-winner. With this, there is no question that the former Blue Jackets forward delivered for the Rangers in this matchup.

Bjorkstrand joined the Rangers this off-season on a one-year, $4.5 million contract. This is after he spent the 2025-26 season with the Tampa Bay Lightning, where he posted 12 goals and 32 points in 80 games.
