
Former Blue Jackets and Monsters forward Joseph LaBate has signed a deal with the Vancouver Canucks. The deal is a one-year, two-way deal that will carry an AAV of $775k.
LaBate was drafted by Vancouver in the fourth round of the 2011 NHL Draft, but only played 13 games for the Canucks.
Last season, he was signed by the CBJ on a one-year deal and made 6 appearances for the Jackets and registered one assist.
For the Monsters, he played in 51 games and had 21 points while chipping in 81 PIMs. In six Calder Cup Playoff games, he had two points.
