Former Columbus goalie Joonas Korpisalo has been traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Linus Ullmark. The Senators also send Mark Kastelic and a 2024 first-round pick.
Korpisalo played in 210 games for the Jackets, starting 190 of them. His record was 87-78-24 with a save % of .903.
Korpisalo was traded to The LA Kings at the trade deadline in 2023. He then signed a 5-year, $20 million contract with the Ottawa Senators in the Summer of 2023.
He went 21-26-4 with a save % of .890 in the 2023-24 season.
Korpisalo is going to a good team and will most likely be the backup to Jeremy Swayman
Hopefully he can resurrect his career in Boston.
