Former Blue Jackets Goalie Joonas Korpisalo Traded To The Boston Bruins
Former Columbus goalie Joonas Korpisalo has been traded to the Boston Bruins in exchange for Linus Ullmark. The Senators also send Mark Kastelic and a 2024 first-round pick.
Korpisalo played in 210 games for the Jackets, starting 190 of them. His record was 87-78-24 with a save % of .903.
Korpisalo was traded to The LA Kings at the trade deadline in 2023. He then signed a 5-year, $20 million contract with the Ottawa Senators in the Summer of 2023.
He went 21-26-4 with a save % of .890 in the 2023-24 season.
Korpisalo is going to a good team and will most likely be the backup to Jeremy Swayman
Hopefully he can resurrect his career in Boston.
