
Former Cleveland Monster Cliff Pu has signed with HC La Chaux-de-Fonds of the Swiss League, the team announced today. The Swiss League is the second-tier league in Switzerland.
Pu was a Cleveland Monster during the 2020-21 season. After being traded from the Florida Panthers on October 8th, 2020 for Markus Nutivaara, he was assigned to Cleveland. In Cleveland, he played 16 games, scoring three goals and totaling 10 points. He played well in his limited time with the Monsters. In total, he played in 70 AHL games for the Charlotte Checkers, Springfield Falcons, and Cleveland.
After his contract ended in the summer of 2021, Pu was left unsigned by Columbus. From there he went on to play in the KHL until 2024. He moved on to play in Slovakia for HK Dukla Michalovce where he played seven games this season.
Pu has yet to play in an NHL regular season game.
