Jakub Zbořil was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets from the Boston Bruins this past spring.

Jakub Zbořil has signed with Czech Extraliga's HC Dynamo Pardubice per a club announcement.

Sports Director and former NHLer Petr Sýkora said in a statement, "We will significantly strengthen the defensive ranks. Cuba has been on our list of potential signings for a long time. We know what it can offer us and we believe it will fit perfectly with us. He is an intelligent player with good character."

Zbořil was traded to Columbus last season from the Boston Bruins in exchange for defenseman Andrew Peeke. Zbořil didn't make an appearance for Columbus, instead playing the rest of the season in Cleveland for the Monsters. He had 4 points in 15 regular season games, and 4 points in 14 Calder Cup Playoff games.

Zbořil was left unsigned by new GM Don Waddell as he was a UFA. He signed a PTO with the New Jersey Devils in training camp but chose to return to his home country after not being signed. He signed a 5-year contract with HC Dynamo Pardubice.

What's Next - Columbus travels to Nashville to take on the Predators on Saturday.
