Former Columbus forward Adam Cracknell has signed with HK Poprad of Slovak Extraliga the team announced on Tuesday. He's 39 years old.
The team's sports director Július Koval said of Cracknell, "I welcome Adam to the team. He is an experienced player with a rich career behind him. He is a leader with leadership qualities and I believe that he will pass on his experience to younger players and help them in their career growth."
Cracknell said in a statement, "Thank you to the club for the trust and the opportunity, I can't wait with my family to become members of the Poprad community. I'm looking forward to the team and I believe we will have an amazing season."
Cracknell was claimed off of waivers in October of 2014 from the LA Kings. He played in 17 games for Columbus that season. He had one assist as a Blue Jacket.
He's played 210 NHL games and has 43 career points.
