The big defenseman only played one season in the Columbus organization.

Former Monster defender Tommy Cross has announced his retirement.

Cross played for the Monsters in the 2018-19 season. He played in 73 games, scoring 7 goals and adding 27 assists. He would only play one year in Cleveland before leaving and playing three seasons for the Springfield Thunderbirds, and a season for the Providence Bruins in 2020-21.

Cross would fight 28 times in his AHL career, including three in the one season he was playing for Cleveland.

Tommy Cross was a pretty good defenseman in the AHL, and quite frankly it's shocking he never got a chance to excel in the NHL.
