The father of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau took the ice for practice today at Nationwide Arena.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have their home opener tomorrow. They will honor the lives of Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau before the game, with the Gaudreau family in attendance. There won't be a dry eye in the house.
Today, the CBJ hosted Guy Gaudreau for their team practice ahead of tomorrow's game. Much like his sons, the elder Gaudreau looks like a natural on the ice.
John Tortorella also hosted Guy Gaudreau during training camp just a few weeks after his sons passed. It was a touching spectacle and one I'm sure Guy Gaudreau needed to have just a bit of normalcy to his life.
