Jake Bean Has A Broken Hand, Will Miss The Rest Of The Season

The Blue Jackets announced today that defenseman Jake Bean broke his hand on Thursday night. 

Bean stepped in front of a big slap shot at the 12:30 mark of the third period. He was slow to get up and then left immediately after he made it to the bench. 

After the game, HC Pascal Vincent said that Bean would be "out for a while.”

Earlier today, Vincent told the media that he would miss the rest of the season, but didn't give the exact injury that Bean had suffered.

The Jackets' injury situation gets worse by the day. 

Six games left until it's over.
