Jet Greaves And Mikael Pyyhtiä have been assigned back to the Cleveland Monsters.
Jet Greaves played a really good game against Washington last night in the loss to the Caps. Without Greaves, the score could've been much worse.
Mikael Pyyhtiä played just over nine minutes in the loss and failed to register a shot. He's played 19 games for Columbus this season and has two points.
Many people wondered if Jet Greaves would see some extended time with Columbus, even Dean Evason. Evason was asked last night if he thought his play against Washington had earned him more time in Columbus. His response was, "Yup, sure does."
With the assignment of Pyyhtiä to Cleveland, Yegor Chinakhov could be close to a return. It also means Justin Danforth, who sat out last night with an injury, could be ready for this weekend's back-to-back games against the Anaheim Ducks and Carolina Hurricanes.
What's Next - The Blue Jackets are home for the last game of a three-game homestand against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday night.
