Kent Johnson Has Big Night Against Jets; Scores Two In 2:27

Jiricek Trade

Every Columbus Blue Jackets fan knows just how good Kent Johnson is at hockey. Well, after last night so does the Winnipeg Jets fan base.

After such a historic start to the season, the Jets have slowed down significantly. Last night they took on the Blue Jackets, who have struggled this season on the road and met their match.

Johnson put the team on his back and scored two goals in just 2:27 in the third. Columbus went on to beat the Jets 4-1.

His first goal gave Columbus a 2-1 lead on a redirection from Sean Monahan off of a James van Riemsdyk shot, and he was there to bang in the rebound.

His next goal was a two-on-one and van Riemsdyk sauced the puck to him, and he buried it into the open net.

Johnson now has eight goals and six assists for 14 points in 13 games this season.

Could this be a break-out year for him?
