Columbus has announced that they have recalled forward Kent Johnson from the Cleveland Monsters today. Johnson has played 10 games in Cleveland since he was sent down, and in those 10 games, he has 5 goals and 10 assists. This season for Columbus he has played in 8 games and has 3 points. The Jackets are hoping that playing those games in Cleveland has sparked Johnson and will turn that into success at the NHL level.
The team also announced that defenseman Damon Severson has been placed on IR retroactive to November 19. Severson suffered an oblique injury on November 19 and is expected to miss 6 weeks. Severson has 8 points in 19 games this season.
