Sean Monahan will skate in his 800th career game tonight against the Boston Bruins

Sean Monahan will hit a special milestone tonight against the Boston Bruins. He will be playing in his 800th NHL game.

It’s a number that speaks to his perseverance as much as his talent. But Monahan’s journey hasn’t been without hardship.

Over the years, Monahan has endured more than his share of challenges, from injuries to personal losses, making this moment even more significant.

Drafted sixth overall by the Calgary Flames in 2013, Monahan also has suited up for the Montreal Canadiens and Winnipeg Jets.

During his Flames playing days, he met his best friend and linemate Johnny Gaudreau, the two formed one of the league’s most exciting young duos.

For years, Monahan and Gaudreau were inseparable both on and off the ice, putting up big numbers and leading the Flames to success.

Sadly, he lost his best friend, [Johnny] Gaudreau this past off-season, after signing with the Columbus Blue Jackets to play alongside him again.

Another challenge throughout his career, has been injuries have been a constant battle for him, ranging from hip surgeries to other lingering issues that forced him to miss significant time.

Through it all, he’s shown incredible strength and resilience.

Now with the Blue Jackets, Monahan remains a steady veteran presence.

His 800th game isn’t just a milestone—it’s a testament to his determination and love for the game.

    Congrats Monahan!
