Joy Dunne scored the game-winning goal 12:48 into the third to break a scoreless tie, a goal that would stand until the clock struck zero. The goal was assisted by Hannah Bilka and Cayla Barnes.

Led by Goalie Raygan Kirk and her 26 saves, the OSU Women's Hockey team went on to win the National Championship coached by Nadine Muzerall by a score of 1-0.

This has to be sweet for Ohio State. Last season the Wisconsin Badgers beat Ohio State to win the National Title to stop the Buckeye's chances at repeating as National Champs. This year they got their revenge.

Ohio State defeated Clarkson University 4-1 on Friday to advance to the championship game this afternoon. They beat Minnesota Duluth 9-0 last Saturday to advance to the Frozen Four.

Joy Dunne, who scored the game-winner is the younger sister of Blue Jacket Prospect Josh Dunne, who plays for the Cleveland Monsters. Her sisters Jessica and Jincy also played for the Ohio State Women's hockey team.

Congrats to Nadine Muzerall and her Ohio State Buckeyes Hockey Team.
