The Blue Jackets are reportedly willing to listen to offers for this forward.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have had mixed results so far this season. At the time of this writing, they are sporting a 3-4-0 record and are seventh in the Metropolitan Division.

Now, during the early stages of the campaign, one of Columbus' forwards is continuing to create some noise as a trade candidate.

According to The Fourth Period, Blue Jackets forward Dmitri Voronkov is available for trade.

"As it has been widely reported by multiple outlets dating back to last season, the Blue Jackets are still open to trading forward Dmitri Voronkov, who is in the final year of a two-year, $8.35 million contract," The Fourth Period reported.

"It is unclear which teams have engaged in trade discussions with Waddell about Voronkov’s availability, and while a trade is not imminent, the Blue Jackets are believed to be looking around the league for an upgrade and could package Voronkov in a deal for immediate help," The Fourth Period added.

Hearing that the Blue Jackets are open to moving Voronkov is not too surprising. He has been discussed in the rumor mill often in the past, and he could be a good trade chip for the Blue Jackets to dangle.

Voronkov has had a slow start to the season, as he has zero goals and one assist in five games. Yet, his past success could make teams interested.

Voronkov's best season with the Blue Jackets was in 2024-25, when he posted 23 goals and 47 points in 73 games. He also posted 17 goals and 32 points in 63 games last season for Columbus, so he could be a nice pickup for a team looking for more size and scoring in their top nine.

Furthermore, at just 26 years old, he is right in his prime. Thus, this could help him grab the attention of some other clubs.

Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see if the Blue Jackets end up moving Voronkov at some point this season. A change of scenery may benefit the 6-foot-5 forward, who has been healthy scratched multiple times this season.
