How much beer do CBJ fans drink at games?

A study by time2play.com has ranked NHL teams by how much beer fans drank per game in 2022, and it’s shocking how low the CBJ are on the list, considering how the past few seasons have gone.

According to the study, Columbus fans drank an average of 2.7 beers per game, which ranks 16th in the league.

The average cost of those 2.7 beers is $24.30 which is tied with the New York Rangers for lowest in the league.

The CBJ rank 2nd in the Metro behind the Pittsburgh Penguins and just ahead of the Philadelphia Flyers.

To no one’s surprise, the Toronto Maple Leafs fans drink the most per game, at 3.9 beers, spending $58.50. I’m shocked it wasn’t higher.

The New York Rangers, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils, and Washington Capitals are all in the bottom four of beers drank per game. With the Rangers and Capitals being low on the average cost list as well.

My guess is that if this study was done after the 2023 season, the CBJ would be higher on this list, for obvious reasons.

Blue Jacket fans love to pre-game at the local bars outside of Nationwide Arena, if not for that, they could be much higher on this list.
