Syracuse Gets Crunch'd By Cleveland, Takes A 2-0 Series Lead Which Now Shifts To Upstate Medical Arena

Billy SweezeyHunter McKown, Jakub Zboril, and Alex Whelan scored the goals, and Jet Greaves made 17 saves to lead the Monsters to an afternoon win in the North Division Finals on Saturday. 

Devante Stephens put the Crunch up early in the first, but the Monsters would answer twice in the first on Sweezey and McKown's goals.

Cleveland would hold the 2-1 lead until Zboril's goal 4:37 into the third to make it 3-1. Syracuse would pull Brandon Halverson with just under five minutes to go in the game, and Alex Whelan would immediately sink an empty netter to essentially seal the game. The Monsters win 4-1. 

The series will now to go Syracuse as the Crunch will need to try to beat the Monsters in three straight games.
