Tampa Toys With Columbus For Two Periods Before Ending The Blue Jackets' Chances in 16 Seconds

Kirill Marchenko(22,23) scored twice and Jet Greaves stopped 28 shots in a loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday night.

Tampa would score twice in 16 seconds to end the Jackets' chances just five minutes into the third. Columbus wouldn't recover from that onslaught and Steven Stamkos would score an empty net goal to finish off a hat trick to end the game at 5-2.

The Blue Jackets didn't play badly at all in the first two periods. They went toe to toe with the Bolts until Tampa flexed their muscles and put the Jackets down.

Columbus falls to 26-41-12 on the season. Just 3 games left.
