Team Canada Finalizes World Championships Roster, Two Columbus Blue Jackets Make The Cut

Hockey Canada announced today their final roster for the 2024 IIHF World Championships, and two Columbus Blue Jackets have made the cut.

Yesterday, Adam Fantilli told The Hockey News that he would be joining Team Canada. Fantilli said, “I have to get my game going. That’s my concern.” He is joining a loaded Canada team that should compete for the gold.

Also selected to play is CBJ defenseman Damon Severson. Severson just completed his first season with the Jackets, playing in 67 games and garnering 28 points. This is Severson's third go with Team Canada playing in the Worlds. He's played in 20 games and has 14 points.

On April 24th, both Zach Werenski and Johnny Gaudreau were selected to play for Team USA. Elvis Merzlikins is also playing for Latvia at this year's edition of the World Championships.
