The Columbus Blue Jackets had their inaugural season in 2000

The NHL plans to release their version of the Columbus Blue Jackets Quarter-Century Team on Thursday, so we thought we would guess who we think should be on the first and second teams for Columbus.

The Blue Jackets started their franchise history in October of 2000 when they took the ice for the first time. But this was not the expansion era that you're seeing now where teams come in and are immediately competitive. The Jackets had to scrap and claw for any semblance of good players, as opposed to Vegas and Seattle who were gifted a bunch of players who had been all-stars or could arguably be first and second-liners.

So let's take a look at who we think will be on the NHL's version of the Columbus Blue Jackets Quarter-Century Team.
