The Jackets played a pair of games against the Pittsburgh Penguins, two split-squad preseason games in Pittsburgh and Columbus.

The Jackets traveled to St. Louis to take on the Blues, a place where they rarely win. Even in the preseason that doesn't seem to change. But Emil Bemstrom tried his best to change that.

The Jackets trimmed training by two, sending Nolan Lalonde back to junior. 

Ray Whitney played two good seasons in Columbus and it's a shame he didn't stay longer.

The Jackets traveled to Buffalo to take on the Sabres on Saturday. The first of the game went great, the second half saw them fall back into some old ways that cost them the game. The Jackets fell 4-3
