This week brought on some controversy for the Columbus Blue Jackets, and with a week left before training camp, this is just what this team didn't need. Follow the links below for all of the stories.
Joona Luoto has decided to go back to Europe after spending last season with the Columbus organization. He had a decent season in Cleveland, and being Patrik Laine's good friend, a lot of people thought he'd at least be signed in Cleveland again.
Cole Cassels also decided to play elsewhere, signing with the San Jose Barracuda of the AHL. Cassels has yet to play an NHL game in his career.
Patrik Laine is set and ready to have a breakout season for the CBJ. He's coming in healthy, and according to his social media, seemingly happy as well. He's going to have some very good players around him and everyone is hoping he can start putting pucks in the net at a record pace this season.
With a little over a week before training camp, the last thing the Jackets needed was controversy, let alone with new head coach Mike Babcock, but that's what they got. Follow the links below for the initial story and updates.
