Tyler Angle, Jake Gaudet, Josh Dunne, and Cole Clayton all scored for Cleveland, and Jet Greaves made 36 saves to lead the Monsters to an overtime win against the Belleville Senators on Friday night.
Cleveland was up 3-2 at the end of two periods, but Belleville tied the game midway through the third to make Cleveland fans everywhere nervous. With Cleveland being down 1-0 in the series, they could not afford to lose this game.
Belleville would pump 14 shots on Greaves in the third period, but both teams would hold on to push the game to sudden death overtime.
In the OT, Cleveland's 35th and final shot would be the game-winner. Cole Clayton took a feed from Tyler Angle who was circling from behind the net and rifled it past Sens goalie Mads Sogaard to send the Monsters home a winner.
The Monsters are coming back to Cleveland tied. It will now be a best-of-three series, with all games to be played in Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
