The New York Rangers Move On From The Cincinnati Cyclones As Their ECHL Affiliate

The ECHL announced today that the New York Rangers have moved on from the Cincinnati Cyclones, and will instead be partnered with the Bloomington Bison.
Last June, when the Rangers partnered with the Cyclones, THN Columbus wrote about how the Columbus Blue Jackets needed to jump on this. They didn't, and instead, went unaffiliated.
Throughout the 23-24 season, the Cleveland Monsters needed to send guys to the ECHL. Pavel Čajan played for both the Kalamazoo Wings and the Cincinnati Cyclones. Out of the 8 games Čajan played in the ECHL, 6 were with Cincinnati. Ole-Julian Bjørgvik-Holm played 57 games in Cincinnati this past season, only two in Cleveland, and none with Kalamazoo.
Is this finally the time to unite the Ohio "I-71 Express?"
Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse (Cleveland) and Heritage Bank Center (Cincinnati) are separated by approx. 248 miles, or 3 hours and 35 minutes. This just makes sense since they're sending players to Cincinnati from Cleveland anyway.
With all of the changes going on with Columbus, would they even think of adding an ECHL team right now?
