The Jackets' record now stands at 2-3-0.

Kent Johnson(3), Denton Mateychuk(1), and Cole Sillinger(3) scored the goals for the Blue Jackets, while goalie Cam Talbot could only stop 17 of 23 Florida shots in a 7-3 Panther beatdown of the CBJ on Tuesday night.

Brady and Matthew Tkachuk had 9 points, which included a natural hat trick by Brady in the win for Florida.

Rick Bowness said it perfectly: "You have to hope, you got to believe that performance tonight will embarrass them enough to stop this, right? Because if they're not embarrassed by that, we don't want them on the team. It's as simple as that."

There really isn't much else to say about this game. Embarrassing is the perfect word to describe what we witnessed at Nationwide Arena on Tuesday night.

Mathieu Olivier lost his mind on Tuesday and got kicked out of the game for slashing Uvis Balinskis in a place where you wouldn't want to have a stick hit you. Olivier received a 5-minute major and a game misconduct for his actions.

Olivier said after the game, "I can sit here & try to rationalize it all I want with you. I don't even have an explanation for it. It looked bad. It was bad & that's on me." He went on to say, "I apologize to my teammates for putting them in that spot, and it's happened a couple times this year. It's usually not what I do, but it's been happening, so I need to look in the mirror and figure it out. That's all on me."
