Vegas Has A Rough "Knight" At Nationwide as Columbus Has An Ace Up Its Sleeve In Alex Nylander

Justin Danforth(10), Alex Nylander(2,3,4) Erik Gudbranson(4), and Yegor Chinakhov(16) all scored as the Blue Jackets would take advantage of a slumping Vegas team.

The game got a little itchy in the third when Chandler Stephenson scored to make it 4-3, but just over a minute later Yegor Chinakhov would essentially seal it when he scored to make it 5-3.

The Blue Jackets played well in this game except for 2 minutes late in the first when they gave up two goals in 42 seconds. When they tied it at 2-2, the life seemed to be sucked from the arena, leaving fans to wonder if the Jackets were about to get steamrolled.

In the end, Daniil Tarasov played well enough to hang on to beat the defending Cup Champs and send them home with a third loss in a row powered by new Jacket Alex Nylander's hat trick.
