    The Wrap Around

Zach Werenski made another appearance on the What Chaos! Podcast, and as usual had a very good interview.

He talked about a lot of things but was asked about whether or not he thought the team should invest and add to the roster at the deadline, and what he wanted the direction of the team to be.

"In terms of the deadline, I'm sure Don will do what he has to do and whatever he sees fit I'm good with. But, I haven't made the playoffs in a number of years now, so it's definitely on my mind as well. It's one of those things where I feel like I'm ready to make the playoffs and be an impact player in it. I don't want to wait too much longer. Obviously, I want to make it this season and we're going to push for it, but I don't have too many years left to wait. So, that's kind of where my mindset is. I need to play in the playoffs, especially after tasting the 4-Nations and seeing the excitement there. I'm all in on making the playoffs. So, I'd obviously like to see what Don has to do about that."

You can watch the full episode below.

Zach Werenski was very clear in this clip that he wants and needs to make the playoffs as soon as possible, even if that means this year. A year in which the entire world picked them to finish dead last in the NHL.

He's earned the right to be able to speak freely in my opinion. He said what everyone in Columbus is thinking.

The Blue Jackets have a very tough schedule down the stretch. In fact, they have the 5th hardest schedule in the league to finish the season. They are chasing the Detroit Red Wings who are currently two points ahead of them and in a wild card spot. The two teams will play in what now is two massive games this week. The first is Thursday in Detroit, and the second is Saturday in The Horseshoe for the Blue Jackets' first-ever outdoor game. At the start of the season, no one thought these two games would be worth much, but now, they might have huge playoff implications.
