Zach Werenski appears on The Fan

Defenseman Zach Werenski made his routine appearance on Rothman & Ice today for their Hockey & Hounds segment. As always, it was a good interview.

Zach said he feels they “deserved better” in some of these losses lately. Some bad luck against Anaheim with a puck going in off of his stick to tie the game, and against Montreal, he feels they should’ve beaten the Habs. He mentions how crazy hockey can be sometimes when a team can outplay another team and still lose. He feels this has been the case in a few of these games.

Werenski admits he didn’t play well against Dallas, and that his team was a little slow. He goes on to say that if they play the way they did against Anaheim and Montreal, they will get two points in most games.

He also mentions work ethic, guys taking nights off, Damon Severson, plus much more. Oh, and he talks about dogs.
