The 2024 #1 overall pick told reporters yesterday that he will be playing tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Columbus Blue Jackets Outlook and Success

The Columbus Blue Jackets will be tasked with stopping the top overall pick from this year's draft tonight in the Shark Tank. Macklin Celebrini told reporters yesterday that he's playing.

Per THN San Jose's Max Miller, Celebrini suffered a hip injury in the preseason that flared up on opening night of the season. Miller also says that Celebrini was practicing on the top line yesterday with Tyler Toffoli and Mikael Granlund, so we should get to see a lot of Celebrini tonight.

Celebrini has played in only one game this season. In his only game, he played 17:35 of ice time, had a goal and assist, and had 2 shots. It's safe to say he stepped right in and made an impact on night one of his NHL career.

The Blue Jackets will now try to stop the young phenom in game two of his career. Throughout history, the CBJ have had a knack for making rookie forwards look like MVPs and rookie goalies look like Vezina winners, so this should be interesting to watch tonight.

The game is on at 10:30 EST, will you stay up to watch Macklin Celebrini and the San Jose Sharks host the Columbus Blue Jackets?

What's Next - The Blue Jackets are off on their first extended road trip of the year. Their first stop will be San Jose to take on the Sharks on Tuesday.
