Columbus Assigns Nick Blankenburg To Cleveland Ahead Of The NHL All-Star Break

Columbus has announced the assigning of defenseman Nick Blankenburg to Cleveland of the AHL.

He's played in 6 games this season for Columbus and has yet to register any points. In Cleveland, he has played in 19 games and has 12 points. 

This moves as no surprise as the CBJ don't play again until February 10th. Meanwhile, the Monsters play a pair of games before their All-Star break on February 4th.
