    Former Columbus Blue Jackets Defenseman Marcus Björk has signed with Kärpät of Liiga for the rest of the season.

    Björk played 33 games for the Blue Jackets during the 2022-23 season, scoring three goals and totaling 11 points while averaging 18 minutes per game. 

    Marcus Björk spent most of his time in the Columbus organization playing for the Cleveland Monsters. He played in 95 games throughout two seasons, scoring 13 goals and totaling 40 points. Björk also played in 10 playoff games in 2024 and had 9 points. 

    Björk did not receive a qualifying offer from new GM Don Waddell and was allowed to become an unrestricted free agent. 

    Over the summer, Björk chose to have back surgery and has now been cleared to play. 

    What's Next? - The Blue Jackets travel to Chicago to play the Blackhawks on Sunday.
